Polypropylene sheets (PP-H) in white in standard format 2.0x1.0 metres

Our polypropylene sheets in white resemble the colour RAL9016 (traffic white) and are available as standard sheets in the thicknesses 10mm, 15mm and 20mm. The PP-H sheets with the dimensions 2000mm length and 1000mm width are completely dyed white. This ensures a consistent white colour on the surfaces as well as the milled or sawn edges. The solid plastic sheets made of polypropylene are opaque and impermeable to light and consist of 100% virgin material. The white plastic sheets made of PP-H are exclusively solid core material and not hollow core sheets or sheets with a core made of foamed polypropylene. Our white PP-H sheets are manufactured in Germany and comply with the REACH and RoHS regulations.

Note: The white polypropylene sheets (PP-H) are an engineering plastic. For this reason, its use for optical purposes is not recommended.

To prevent scratching of the smooth surfaces before and during processing, the white polypropylene sheets are equipped with a protective film on both sides.

Properties of our white polypropylene sheets

Polypropylene is permanently heat-stable and has a very high rigidity, even in the upper temperature range. It is suitable for permanent use at temperatures from +0°C up to +110°C (for short periods even up to +140°C). PP-H also has very good chemical resistance to many acids, alkalis and solvents, and is therefore often used for the manufacture of plant covers and housing parts in the chemical industry. However, the bio industry and the pharmaceutical industry also make use of these properties.

Polypropylene sheets in white are food-safe and have approval for use in the food and drinking water sectors. The plastic is considered physiologically harmless and meets the requirements according to food conformity according to FDA and according to the EU 10/2011 standard. For this reason, polypropylene is very often used in companies where food is processed, such as bakeries, restaurants, butchers, but also in the industrial processing of food. In addition, PP-H white is used for the production of robust eating utensils (for example for camping), drinking vessels, cutting pads, and much more.

Another positive property of PP-H is that it has a very long service life. This is due to its high surface hardness and good impact resistance. Polypropylene is therefore ideal for housing parts, covers or concrete construction panels that must have a high degree of stability. However, the white plastic sheets are not UV-stable, so permanent outdoor use can lead to brittleness of the material, which can affect the service life of the sheets. In addition, exposure to UV radiation leads to unsightly yellowing of the pure white polypropylene sheets in the long term.

Our standard delivery programme of white PP-H sheets includes thicknesses from 10mm - 20mm. However, on request we can supply you with polypropylene sheets in thicknesses from 1mm up to 30mm. Larger formats deviating from our standard format of 2000mm x 1000mm are also possible. We can also supply sheets in sizes from 2440mm x 1220mm or 3000mm x 1500mm to very large sheets of 4000mm x 2000mm, subject to minimum order quantities. Processing of our polypropylene sheets in white

Polypropylene is a very easy plastic to process. The white PP-H sheets can be cut to size by machining methods such as sawing or milling. Cuts can also be made by punching, CO2 lasering or water jet cutting. Turning or drilling polypropylene is also easy to do.

Polypropylene is a thermoplastic material with excellent properties for thermoforming, i.e. the production of individual moulded parts through the application of heat. Thermoforming of finished plastic parts is a cost-effective method that is often used in industrial manufacturing. In addition, thermoforming and cold forming are other possible thermoforming practices.

Secure, permanent connections of PP-H with PP-H are generally realised by welding with an appropriate PP-H welding rod. We will be happy to supply you with a matching white welding rod for welding our PP-H sheets in white on request. Alternatively, you can find PP-H welding rod in grey or in the colour natural in our online shop at favourable graduated prices. Painting or printing is not possible with polypropylene, nor is applying a film or digital print.

NOTE: Bonding our white polypropylene sheets is not possible with conventional adhesives. For this reason, we carry in our online shop the special 2-component adhesive S-Polybond PPprofi, which was specially developed for bonding polypropylene.
