HPL panels in anthracite (RAL 7016) in custom cut at best prices

ETB approval ✓ Weatherproof ✓ Waterproof ✓ Flame retardant ✓

Our HPL panels in anthracite are available in 6mm and 8mm thicknesses. The decorative panels have a scratch-resistant, non-porous surface in anthracite on both sides, so that our panels are also ideal as balcony screens or partition walls and comply with the ETB guideline "Components that protect against falling". Our HPL panels, which we deliver to you cut to the millimetre in your desired size up to a format of 1840mm x 1000mm, are pressed under very high pressure from several layers of resin-impregnated kraft paper in the core and melamine resin-impregnated decorative papers for the surfaces, to form a compact, homogeneous panel.

Our weatherproof HPL panels are UV-resistant and insensitive to weathering. The hard surfaces can be easily cleaned. To protect the dark grey decorative surfaces from scratches and damage that could occur during processing, our HPL panels are provided with an easily removable protective film on one side.

Characteristics of our HPL panels in anthracite

Panels made of so-called high-pressure laminate (High Pressure Laminate), to which the HPL panels owe their name, are suitable for permanent outdoor use.

HPL panels are highly weather-resistant and therefore defy all weather conditions. The panels are resistant to adverse environmental influences (e.g. acid rain) and insensitive to frost and heat. The temperature range of the dark grey cladding panels extends from -30°C to +80°C. The surfaces of our HPL panels in anthracite are lightfast and UV-resistant and therefore do not fade even when used outdoors for long periods, even under strong sunlight.

Balcony surrounds made of the coloured HPL sheets in anthracite are very popular. Not least because of the decorative surface of our panels on both sides. However, it should be noted that approval in accordance with the ETB guidelines is required for balcony cladding. To ensure that our HPL sheets can be used as balcony cladding or privacy screens without hesitation, they have the necessary ETB approval in thicknesses of 6mm and 8mm.

In contrast to conventional HPL compact panels, our HPL in anthracite is flame-retardant according to the European standard DIN EN 13501-1 B-s2, d0 (comparable to DIN 4102 B1). This means that the panels can also be used in publicly accessible building projects as facade cladding, as balcony cladding or for interior fittings.

Our anthracite grey HPL panels are characterised by high mechanical strength and are extremely robust, bend-resistant and impact-resistant. The surfaces of our HPL panels are solvent-resistant and scratch-resistant and are very easy to clean thanks to the non-porous surfaces. For simple soiling, it is sufficient to clean the surfaces with clear water and clean, soft wipes. Stronger, more stubborn stains (e.g. graffiti) can in most cases be removed effortlessly with organic-based solvents (acetone, methylated spirits, petrol or isopropyl alcohol).

WARNING: Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads or polishing agents to clean the surfaces, otherwise they may be damaged.

Approvals and standards for HPL panels in anthracite grey (RAL 7016)

  • Flame retardant according to DIN EN 13501-1 B-s2, d0 (comparable with DIN 4102 B1)
  • Balcony approval in accordance with ETB guideline "Components that protect against falling
  • Our HPL panels are rated A+ according to the standard on VOC emission
  • FSC certified (ecologically sustainable and socially responsible forestry)

Our HPL panels in dark anthracite, like all our HPL panels, are environmentally friendly. The panels made of high-pressure laminate are free of heavy metals, organic halogens (fluorine, bromine, chlorine, etc.) and asbestos. They are considered physiologically harmless and meet the requirements of the standard for VOC emission A+. This means that the maximum values of chemical emissions are not exceeded at any time with our laminate panels. They can therefore be used indoors, for example for the production of high-quality office furniture and interior fittings or as partition walls, without hesitation.

  • and much more

Processing of HPL panels in anthracite

Our HPL panels, anthracite grey on both sides, can be sawn or milled without any problems. However, it should be noted that high-pressure laminate is comparably hard as hardwood, which is why it must be handled similarly to hardwood during machining and processing. This means, among other things, that saw blades made of hard metal or diamond-tipped saw blades should be used for cutting HPL panels. In addition, the speed should be selected quite low in order to counteract a high tool closure.

Drills made of solid carbide or HSS should also be used for drilling holes. However, it is advisable to place the HPL panels on a flat surface to avoid chipping when the drill comes out. With our special facade panel drills with centre point for HPL panels, chipping is not to be expected, so that you can also drill holes without a base or freehand.

With our rustproof HPL screws in anthracite made of high-quality stainless steel, we offer the right solution for mounting HPL panels on a wooden structure. The screws have a scratch-resistant, UV-resistant head lacquer and are precisely matched to our anthracite facade panels in terms of colour and gloss level.

Our MS Polymer Parabond 600 in grey represents an alternative to mounting by screwing the HPL panels. The grey assembly adhesive has a very high initial adhesion, which is required for bonding the heavy facade panels to walls and flat substrates. Parabond adheres to almost all substrates commonly used in the construction industry. However, the panels should be fixed sufficiently and until the mounting adhesive has fully cured to prevent them from slipping or falling.

Although painting is unnecessary due to the highly weather-resistant surface of our HPL panels, it is basically possible. However, certain points must be observed for lacquering, such as appropriate surface pre-treatment and the use of special primers and lacquers.

NOTE: Our HPL panels in anthracite are delivered with a protective film on one side. After removing the film before installation or during processing, please ensure that you do not push the panels over each other or pull them over an edge in order to avoid scratching the surfaces.
