Description

White rigid PVC sheets (UV stabilised) - without plasticisers - Made in Germany

Our white plastic sheets made of rigid PVC with a standard format of 2,0x1,0 metres, are available in thicknesses from 1,0mm to 4,0mm. Our rigid PVC sheets (PVC-U) in white consist of 100% virgin material without the addition of toxic plasticisers and are completely white in colour, which means that both the cut and milled edges and the surfaces have the same white colour. Thanks to UV stabilisation, our white boards are equally suitable for both indoor and outdoor use and are equipped with an easily removable protective film on one side to protect the smooth, semi-gloss surface from scratching, before and during processing. All our rigid PVC sheets are made of solid core material and do not have a foamed core.

Characteristics of our white PVC sheets

PVC is a hard, dimensionally stable plastic with high rigidity. It has normal impact strength and good chemical resistance. Furthermore, our white plastic sheets made of rigid PVC are UV-stable, so that they do not yellow or become brittle when exposed to sunlight. They are therefore the perfect plastic for outdoor applications and are used very often, especially in the construction industry. PVC is also very often used in the electrical industry, as well as in mechanical and plant engineering, because it has electrically insulating properties.

Standards for UV-stabilised rigid PVC in white

  • REACH (EU Chemicals regulation)
  • RoHS (Regulation banning hazardous substances in the electrical industry)
  • PAK (Directive on compliance with limit values for polyaromatic hydrocarbons)

Larger formats and individual cuts from white rigid PVC sheets in UV-stabilised design are available on request.

In addition to our standard delivery programme, which we always have in stock, larger formats with dimensions of 3,0x1,5 metres, as well as other thicknesses and colours are available on request. Thanks to our horizontal panel saws with CNC control, we can also supply individual cuts according to your specifications. Simply send us your enquiry by e-mail and our competent consulting team will process your request as quickly as possible.

We are happy to manufacture milled parts according to your design drawing on request.

Individual milled parts from our white rigid PVC sheets are no problem thanks to our modern milling machines with the latest computer-controlled 3-axis technology. Simply send us your enquiry with a sketch or a construction drawing stating the required number of pieces and we will make you a tailor-made offer for your milled parts made of rigid PVC in white. All information about our milling service can be found here.

Application examples for rigid PVC in white (UV-stable)

  • White roller shutters, door and window profiles are usually made of white PVC-U (rigid PVC)
  • White rigid PVC sheets can be used very well as privacy screens for fences, thanks to their UV resistance
  • In advertising technology, white PVC sheets are used to produce advertising signs and exhibition stands
  • Pipes, distribution boxes, cable trays, even delineator posts are made of white, UV-resistant rigid PVC
  • And much more

Processing of rigid PVC in white (UV-stable)

We have a wide range of processing methods available to bring our standard white rigid PVC sheets to the desired size. For example, PVC can be punched without any problems or processed with a water jet cutting machine. Even the machining of polyvinyl chloride is not a great challenge, so this plastic can be turned, milled, sawn or drilled. If you want to cut our white standard panels with a saw, you can do this with a conventional saw blade for wood processing. However, you must keep the speed of rotation quite low to avoid burning the material, which results in the formation of hydrochloric acid that attacks both the saw blade and the tool itself. For drilling in PVC, it is also advisable to set a low speed. All commercially available metal drills are suitable as drills. As coolant and lubricant, you can use simple liquid soap to ensure that the plastic does not burn.

Warm forming, as well as deep drawing, enables individual moulded parts made of PVC. Thermoforming is a common practice in the industrial production of prefabricated plastic parts made of PVC as thermoplastic.

PVC sheets are generally suitable for direct printing, but unlike our grey rigid PVC sheets, our white PVC sheets guarantee a perfect result in terms of colour fidelity and print image. For this reason, PVC sheets made of solid PVC are very popular for exhibition stand construction, as advertising signs or as an alternative to printing on canvas or aluminium composite sheets. PVC sheets can also be very well laminated, i.e. covered with a film, laminated or painted. However, for particularly demanding painting work, we advise you to pre-treat the surface with a suitable primer as a base coat.

Our UV-stable sheets made of rigid PVC in white can easily be welded with the appropriate PVC welding wire. PVC can also be glued to PVC or other plastics. As a suitable adhesive for bonding PVC to each other or to other plastics (except PTFE, PE and PP), we recommend the plastic adhesive Ruderer L530 from our online shop. To bond our white PVC sheets with materials from the construction sector (concrete, wood, stone, tiles, etc.), our mounting adhesive Parabond 600 in white, which, with its enormous initial adhesion, bonds even thicker sheets securely and permanently.

TIP: PVC sheets should not be processed on CO² laser equipment, as the burning of PVC produces hydrochloric acid which immediately attacks all parts of the laser equipment. All metal parts of the system would rust immediately after contact with hydrochloric acid.
