Our plastic filaments for 3D printing are subjected to strict quality controls during the production process to ensure the best possible quality of the filament. This makes our filaments equally suitable for the hobby 3D printer as well as for the industrial production of 3D printing objects.
Generally, the term filament stands for a single fiber, which basically does not refer to a particular material. These can either be textile fibers or plastic fibers. Specifically focused on 3D printing, filaments are the main group of raw materials needed to print 3D objects with a suitable 3D printer. Although there are certainly 3D printing filaments made of metals or high-performance plastics such as carbon, the term filament is usually meant a fine thread made of plastic, which can be processed with standard 3D printers.
These filaments are available in a variety of designs. Starting with various plastics, such as the environmentally friendly bioplastic PLA or extremely impact-resistant ABS, up to transparent filaments made of acrylic glass (PMMA) or PETG. Also in terms of color selection, there are hardly any limits to 3D-printing filaments, so that the possible color palette ranges from black and white to almost every imaginable color. Depending on the plastic, even bright neon colors, metallic colors, gold, silver and bronze are possible. Fluorescent filaments are also available at affordable prices.
Due to the different plastics from which our filaments are made, we can not give any information on the physical properties at this point. For detailed properties, such as specific gravity, extrusion temperature or heat resistance before and after printing, please refer to the respective product description for each filament.

Filaments for 3D printing are laid on a base plate (also referred to as a printing bed) in individual thin layers on a three-dimensional object using special 3D printers using the Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) method. Depending on the used plastic, the filament is heated at the heating nozzle to a certain temperature, so that this reaches a melting. The so-called extruder temperature range, in which a filament reaches a printable melting range, varies depending on the selected plastic and is set on the 3D printer. The baseplate should be grease-free and clean, so that the molten filament cling well to it. Preliminary treatment with a solvent-free adhesive or special adhesive tape may be helpful for improved adhesion to the base plate. In some plastics (especially ABS filaments), it may even be necessary to heat this base plate to a certain temperature with a heating bed to ensure sufficient adhesion of the filament. This is also referred to the heating bed temperature which is also set depending on the model on the printer. How to set these temperatures can be found in the instructions for the respective 3D printer.
ATTENTION! Filaments should always be stored dry and airtight, because they can draw moisture from the environment depending on the plastic used!

Each produced roll is checked, a desiccant is added and individually vacuum-packed to ensure a high shelf life of the material.

Common industries in which printing is used with the 3D printer include aerospace, the automotive industry in engineering or even in the packaging industry.
On the other hand, in small and medium-sized businesses, filament printing is becoming increasingly popular. For example, it is now very easy for architects to make your objects as a true-to-scale model for easy visualization. Also in medical and dental technology more and more prostheses or similar are generated from the printer.
The production of spare parts, individual housings for everyday objects of any kind or in model making, can be implemented with a 3D printing not only fast, it also is being used more and more by private users.
There is hardly an area that is as diverse and flexible as the printing of three-dimensional objects. As different as the users of 3D printers are, so are the areas of application in which the printed products are used.

If desired, the filaments in the color of your choice will be produced specifically for the customer. In principle, the desired color refers to the raw material, the filament before 3D printing, since the coloration in the printing process may vary depending on the set extruder temperature and the set printing speed. For this reason, a warranty for the color accuracy of the printed products is unfortunately not possible.
