About S-Polytec

About S-Polytec GmbH

We are a medium-sized family business and have specialised in the distribution and processing of high-quality plastic sheets. Furthermore, with our own brand S-Polybond, we are active as a manufacturer and trader of special adhesives for a wide range of applications and plastics, as well as high-quality alkoxy-based silicone sealants.

We offer our customers not only special products from the areas of plastics, adhesives and sealants, but also our extensive service.

Consulting

Customer satisfaction starts with sound advice from our trained and friendly specialist staff. After all, the large number and variety of plastics require good, extensive specialist knowledge. This is the only way to make the right and most suitable selection for and with our customers from a technical, application-related and commercial point of view.

CNC-saws

In the rarest of cases, the plastic sheets can be used directly by customers in standard formats and so application-specific dimensions are usually required by customers. In order to meet these requirements in the best possible way, we have integrated special, state-of-the-art CNC-controlled panel saws for horizontal cutting into our production and can produce plastic panel blanks according to your dimensions reproducibly and with high precision.

CNC-Mills

We offer you the right flexibility in terms of shapes and contours through CNC milling of our plastic sheets. Thanks to our own 3-axis CNC milling machines with the latest computer control, we can fulfil almost all your wishes in terms of plastic milled parts. Any number of pieces, from prototypes to very small runs of one piece or more, right up to large-scale production (e.g. delivery batch of 10,000 pieces) can be realised without any problems.

Laser cutting

With our state-of-the-art CO2 laser cutting equipment, we are able to produce laser cuts in custom shapes from some of our plastic sheets.

Our locations

Our administration, main warehouse and production facility are located in the Hammereisen industrial estate (47559 Kranenburg) on the Lower Rhine at Im Schlop 11. The location, with a quick connection to the motorway (A57), offers very generous storage capacities, so that it is possible for us to ensure extensive stocking of our plastic sheets, adhesives and silicones. The fact that administration, production and warehouse are all located at one site ensures smooth communication between sales, production and packaging stations.

Our Goch site, which is located at Jurgensstraße 5, is currently home to our interim storage facility for plastic sheets. The site, which was our main location until 2022, is also used for the storage and shipping processing of aluminium profiles and our Aqua-Plus PP-R pipe system. The smallest panel saw with a format of 3.10 by 3.10 metres, will also remain at this location.

History of S-Polytec GmbH

September 2022

The change of location with headquarters in Kranenburg has now also been fixed by the notary. As a result, both the business address and the company's telephone number have changed. However, the old telephone number remains available and will be redirected to the new location so that we can be reached by all customers, suppliers and partners without restriction.

August 2022

After initial difficulties, the saw-storage combination has finally started production. In addition, one of the two panel saws was relocated from the Goch site to Kranenburg. The employees from the administration and customer service departments have also moved to the new location, so that the old headquarters in Goch will only be used as a temporary storage facility for our products in the future.

However, a panel saw remains in Goch, so that we could also start production there at short notice if the order situation requires it. In addition, it is planned to produce plastic rods, tubes and aluminium profiles in exact cuts at this location.

January2022

Production at the new location has begun. Initially, however, only our four CNC portal milling machines and the laser cutting machines have been moved from Goch to Kranenburg. The rented hall in Goch, not far from our main location, has been closed down. In addition, the high-bay warehouse has been stocked with our silicones, drills, welding equipment, etc., so that everything except cut-to-size plastic sheets can be shipped from the new location.

In order to be able to ship these from Kranenburg in the near future, a state-of-the-art saw-storage combination from Holzma was purchased. This saw, which reacts fully automatically to orders for panel cuts, is an essential step towards automation for us and ensures more storage capacity for new panel formats, thicknesses and decors.

September 2021

While the expansion of the production hall in Kranenburg is in full swing, another employee has been hired for the marketing team, who will mainly take care of the administration of the alternative marketplaces (ebay, Amazon, etc.) and also actively support the team in the area of product management.

August 2021

The renovation of the offices on the ground floor at the new location in Kranenburg has been largely completed, so that the office in Kleve, which was rented at short notice, has been closed and the marketing team has moved into its new premises. The very large office is equipped with four modern workstations, which can be expanded to up to six workstations if required.

July 2021

In order to be able to react faster and better in marketing to the many changes and demands from customers and search engines, and to cope with the large number of planned new products, a copywriter was hired to join the marketing team in the field office in Kleve.

February 2021

Slowly but surely, our locations in Goch are bursting at the seams. The many new products and employees need space. For this reason, we have decided to purchase another property in the Hammereisen industrial estate in Kranenburg. The large production hall with adjoining high-bay warehouse and spacious office wing offers (for the time being) more than enough space to be able to grow even further. However, there are still some precautions to be taken at the new location before the move to the new premises can begin.

Also in February, another employee was hired for production.

October 2020

With the growing machinery, the many EDP workstations and the plans for the future, we have taken a step towards automation with another employee. This employee, who will be responsible for the technical maintenance and automation of our machines and systems, will also look after the company's entire EDP system.

August 2020

Due to the division of production at two locations and the continuing high volume of orders, an additional employee was hired for the packaging of milled parts, who is also being introduced to CNC milling in order to be able to support the colleagues at the CNC milling machines and CO2 lasers during order peaks.

July 2020

The premises in the office wing in Goch are slowly becoming too small for our steadily growing staff, so we decided at short notice to rent an office in the heart of Kleve. The office with around 70m² will now be the new place of activity for the marketing department and offers space for further employees, so that we can also grow a little in this sub-sector.

At the same time, another CO2 laser was purchased. This is an identical model from the same manufacturer. The acquisition not only doubles our production capacity for lasering plastics, but also offers greater security in the event of breakdowns due to maintenance work or faults on one of the two laser cutting systems.

June 2020

In order to continuously develop our online shop and to be able to offer our customers the best possible functionality, we have hired a software developer. In addition to programming the online shop, this person will also develop individual software solutions for internal use.

With the programmer, the S-Polytec team now consists of 17 motivated and qualified employees who all pursue the same goal. The best possible service for our customers.

May 2020

Thanks to the constantly growing range for our plastic sheets and many supplementary products, such as assembly material or adhesives, coupled with the growing machinery, another employee was hired.

January 2020

Two more CNC portal milling machines were purchased to counteract the high volume of enquiries and to ensure even shorter delivery times for and milled parts made of plastic.

This doubles our production capacity for CNC milling with now two portal milling machines in 2x1m format for smaller milling jobs and one portal milling machine each in 3x2 and 4x2m format.

September 2019

We have been struggling with a severe lack of space for some time now. More machines and more products also require more space, so we decided to rent another production hall with approx. 700m² of production space and approx. 50m² of office space. In this hall, which is about 50 metres away from the main hall, CNC milling and CO2 laser cutting will take place from now on.

In addition, the new production hall will also provide a significantly larger storage area for our adhesives, silicones and the standard warehouse for predefined panel cuts, such as those we offer at the Marketplaces. The enlargement will also finally enable us to include other products, such as tools or assembly materials and further adhesives and sealants in our standard delivery programme. The original hall will then be used exclusively for panel cuts and the necessary material stocking.

June 2019

In order to adapt our production processes to the growing order situation and to counteract the associated personnel bottlenecks in production, a new employee was hired to operate our panel saws.

March 2019

The steadily growing volume of enquiries about our plastics and adhesives, particularly with regard to specific questions about application or processing, always requires time to meet the individual questions and requirements of our customers.

As one of our employees has decided to change her career and the remaining team cannot cope with the many enquiries, we have expanded our sales team by two additional employees in the internal sales department, so that we can now react even faster to your enquiries in detail.

This increases the number to 14 qualified and, above all, motivated employees.

February 2019

With our large-format CNC milling machine, we have also been able to produce individual milled parts made of plastic for our customers. However, the order volume has grown so much that we have purchased another CNC milling machine.

The new milling machine is suitable for milling operations up to a size of 2000 x 1000mm for panel thicknesses up to 160mm and is therefore sufficient for most customer enquiries. Larger formats will continue to be processed on our large milling machine. Of course, the new milling machine is also equipped with a vacuum table and an automatic tool changer and is also equipped with an extraction system to suck off the milling chips directly so that they can be fed into the recycling process.

October 2018

In order to meet the growing demand for laser cutting of plastic, we have acquired a modern CO2 laser cutting system in a closed design, which enables us to carry out laser cutting up to a format of 1600mm x 1000mm.

June 2018

Growth requires investment and so we have replaced our somewhat outdated Panhans panel saw with a more modern, powerful and faster panel saw for horizontal cutting.

The new Holzma brand saw is not only capable of processing larger panel formats, but also enables us to make very precise diagonal cuts.

May 2018

In order to cope with the steadily growing number of orders, another employee was hired for the production area.

March 2018

We have started producing our first own adhesives under our own brand S-Polybond, which will be distributed via the online shop in the near future.

December 2017

After a long period of planning, we took the decision to develop and produce our own adhesives.

For this purpose, the own brand S-Polybond was registered as a word mark at the German Trademark and Patent Office.

October 2017

In order to free up our sales staff so that they can once again focus more on advising customers, an office administrator was hired to take care of the reception of guests and self-pick-up customers, as well as the telephone switchboard, bookkeeping and preparation of shipments.

In addition, a marketing specialist was hired at the same time for the care and maintenance of the online shops. This enables us to keep the online shops up-to-date at all times and to expand our product portfolio and improve our online presence even further.

This increases our team to 10 motivated and qualified employees to guarantee our customers the best possible service and 100% customer satisfaction.

June 2017

To enable a larger circle of customers to enjoy our product portfolio, the distribution of our plastic sheets, adhesives and sealants has been expanded to sales platforms such as eBay and Amazon. An employee was hired specifically for the maintenance of the Amazon shop and the eBay shop.

June 2016

By investing in more modern storage technology, the storage capacity of our warehouse was almost doubled.

This means that we are not only able to stock more plastic sheets or additional thicknesses, but also that we can handle larger order volumes without waiting times.

January 2016

Replacement of the second horizontal panel saw with a modern panel saw from Holzma. This has enabled us to significantly increase the production speed and stability of the machinery in order to ensure even faster delivery times and even better quality.

August 2015

Introduction of a specially developed lean production system, which standardises all processes in production and in the warehouse and thus greatly simplifies and accelerates them.

May 2015

Acquisition of a modern 3-axis CNC milling machine with a possible milling format of 2.0x4.0 metres. With the acquisition of this machine, we can fulfil almost all of our customers' wishes in terms of cutting contours.

In the meantime, our company has eight highly motivated employees who enjoy success and the rapid development of the company.

December 2014

In order to cope with the growing orders in the area of plastic sheet cutting, a second horizontal CNC sheet saw for plastic sheets with a maximum format of 3.10 x 3.10 metres was purchased.

April 2014

After a short time, the rented warehouse space in Kleve offered far too little space to cope with the steadily increasing number of customer orders and so it was decided to acquire a larger commercial property of their own. The favourable interest rate level at that time reinforced the decision.

The choice fell on a property in the industrial area of Goch-West - not least because of the favourable location and the good connection to the motorway. The move to the acquired property in Goch, with around 600m² of storage space and 100m² of office space, was carried out.

December 2013

Schröder-Polymertechnologie was renamed S-Polytec GmbH.

February 2013

In order to be able to cope with the steadily increasing volume, a warehouse with an area of 250m² was rented in Kleve and a horizontal CNC panel saw for plastic panel cuts with a maximum format of 4.20 x 4.20 metres was purchased.

March 2011

Foundation of the sole proprietorship Schröder-Polymertechnologie by polymer chemical engineer Andreas Schröder.

The focus was on advising the customers through the existing well-founded, practical and theoretical knowledge about polymers. The delivery of the products was to be taken over by previously long-known manufacturers or friendly dealers.

It quickly became clear that the advice was very well received, but time and again there were difficulties, especially in terms of time, in processing the deliveries of plastic sheets.

The decision was made to have a warehouse of their own, which for cost reasons was initially set up in their own garage and in the basement in Kleve.
