Our balcony screws in white correspond to the colour RAL9010 (pure white) and are made of A2 stainless steel. This alloy is characterised by very good corrosion and UV resistance. Also the scratch-resistant lacquer of the lenticular screw head is UV-resistant and weatherproof. This makes the screws easily suitable for indoor and outdoor applications. The diameter of the metric thread is 5mm (M5), whereby the thread length varies according to the selection, which has a particular effect on the minimum and maximum clamping range. The diameter of the white painted screw head is always the same, regardless of the length selected, and is 16mm.

We do not know how many screws you will need for your balcony, so we do not want to give you any specifications regarding the order quantity. TIP: A Torx Bit T20 and an 8mm spanner are required to fix the white balcony screws. The tools are not included in the scope of delivery.

Characteristics of our pure white balcony screws

Except for the self-adhesive poly pane of weather-resistant plastic, which is glued to the substructure between the HPL panel, all remaining individual parts of the balcony screw are made of a high-quality A2 stainless steel alloy. The stated length of the screws refers to the respective thread length without screw head. For the round, lenticular screw head with a diameter of 16mm, add 2mm to the thread length to determine the total length of the balcony screw. In order to prevent the cap nut from loosening, for example due to vibrations of the balcony cladding, the threaded area of the screw where the cap nut is screwed on is coated with a screw locking lacquer. As a further safeguard against the cap nut unscrewing by itself, a spring washer is inserted between the stainless steel washer and the cap nut. The spring washer, cap nut and washer are all included in the scope of delivery of our balcony screws.

Our balcony screws have a head coating in pure white. The lacquering of the screw head is scratch-resistant, UV- and weather-resistant, so that a yellowing of the bright white screw heads by sunlight and its UV rays is impossible. The colour and gloss level have been specially mixed on our white HPL panels in RAL9010 in order to enable a visually attractive and largely inconspicuous screwing of the balcony cladding. In principle, the white screws can also be used for our white aluminium composite panels, ABS panels or even opal acrylic glass panels.

Depending on the thickness of the balcony cladding panels and the substructure, the necessary clamping ranges of the balcony screws can vary, which is why we offer the screws in different thread lengths with different clamping ranges.

Installation of our HPL panels with our white balcony screws

The pure white balcony screws in RAL9010 are perfectly suited for balcony cladding with our white HPL panels. However, a prerequisite for the usability of the screws is that the balcony railing or the substructure is a metal construction, for example made of aluminium profiles, tubular steel or stainless steel. Depending on the type and condition of the substructure, you will need different numbers of screws to cover the balcony railing. Usually the mounting points are already given, so that you can orient yourself accordingly. If no fixing points are predefined, we advise you to refer to the installation instructions for the cladding panels and the substructure itself.

The screwing of HPL panels with our threaded screws should be carried out without constraint. This means that the tightening torque of the cap nut must be between 2Nm and 4Nm. If the HPL panels do not yet have holes for fixing, we recommend using a special 8mm diameter solid carbide drill bit for fixing. This ensures that the HPL panels have sufficient space even in the event of thermal expansion after installation, which prevents the panel from bulging. In addition, especially with HPL, care must be taken to ensure that one of the fixings is chosen as a fixed point. The other fixings should be chosen as sliding points to give the panel the necessary room for expansion due to exposure to high temperatures.

Although our white HPL panels form the basis for the top coat, which is specially matched to the panels in colour and gloss level, the balcony screws can be used for all white panels in RAL9010 without the screws being particularly noticeable. In principle the white screws can be used for all panels, regardless of colour or material. Even panels made of wood or solid metal can be screwed with these screws, for example to screw table tops onto a frame. The only thing you have to make sure is that the clamping range is not under or overshot and that the screw connection is accessible from both sides. Ideally, the support structure should be a metal frame, but here too there are many possibilities.

TIP: For balcony claddings, panels with ETB approval are required. Our white HPL panels comply with this directive and are therefore perfectly suited for our pure white balcony screws in RAL9010.
