The S-Polylight LED recessed spotlight complete set in black includes the LED power controller, a remote control and all necessary connection cables, and is available in versions with 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 mini spotlights. The small LED spotlights with a diameter of 36mm emit warm white light (3000 K). They each have a power output of 3 watts and are waterproof, wired in a black powder-coated housing (RAL 9005) made of solid aluminium. The compact LED power controller combines a 12V power supply with a 2.4 GHz radio receiver including an integrated dimming function and supplies up to 12 spots with a maximum total power of 36 watts simultaneously. The set is ideally sized for the narrow struts of patio roofs, making all components suitable for protected outdoor areas.

The S-Polylight LED recessed spotlights are supplied as a practical complete set containing all components required for installation and operation. Thanks to the straightforward plug connections, installation is quick and easy, even without technical knowledge. Features of our outdoor LED lighting in black

The centrepiece of the complete set are the compact mini LED spotlights with an outer diameter of only 36mm, the number of which depends on the selected set variant. Equipped with powerful 5050 SMD LED chips in warm white, they deliver up to 190 lumens per spotlight with a power consumption of 3 watts, and the brightness can be continuously adjusted using the remote control. The housing is made of black lacquered aluminium and blends harmoniously into patio roofs in black or RAL 9005. The recessed spotlights are also suitable for discreet lighting solutions in cupboards, ceiling panelling, roof overhangs or as pathway lighting. Installation requires a very small mounting hole with a diameter of 28mm and a depth of 29mm, which allows them to be used even in very confined spaces. Sturdy clamping brackets ensure that the spotlights are securely held in place in any installation situation.

The central component of the lighting system is the S-Polylight LED Power Controller, which both supplies power to the built-in LED spotlights and acts as a control unit in conjunction with the wireless remote control. Technically, it is a 12-volt power supply with a Euro plug that connects directly to a power outlet. An integrated hub with twelve slots allows up to twelve spotlights with a total power of up to 36 watts to be connected. The number of mini LED spotlights in the set is matched by the number of connection cables included in the scope of delivery, each of which has a 2-pin plug for the hub and a screw-in plug contact for the spotlight. The standard cable length is five metres, which covers most installation situations. Optional extension cables with a length of 5 metres are available for longer distances.

The handy wireless remote control included in every set allows for convenient control of the lighting and is powered by two 1.5-volt AAA batteries (not included). Thanks to wireless transmission, it also works through walls and has a range of up to 30 metres. In addition to the on/off function, it offers various dimming options: the brightness can be adjusted in increments of 10% or 20%. For particularly quick adjustment, there are also three direct selection buttons that can be used to immediately set the brightness to 25% or 75%, supplemented by a night light function for subtle lighting.

With every order containing at least one complete LED set, we will include a high-quality bi-metal hole saw with a diameter of 28mm FREE OF CHARGE. This is perfectly matched to the installation diameter and is suitable for numerous materials such as aluminium – for example, for the cross struts of our patio roofs – wood, plasterboard, plastics or laminate. Thanks to its robust triangular shank, the hole saw can be used with any standard cordless screwdriver, allowing you to start installing your new lighting straight away without having to purchase any additional equipment.

Installation and connection of black recessed spotlights

Installing the LED lighting requires just four very simple steps. Everything you need is included in the delivery, so you can start installing it as soon as you receive it. All you need is a cordless screwdriver and two 1.5V AAA batteries for the remote control.

1. Drilling the mounting holes
To install the recessed spotlights, mark the desired positions and cut out holes with a diameter of 28mm. It is important to ensure that the installation depth is at least 29mm and that the connection cables to the power controller can be laid. To ensure that the holes are drilled accurately, each complete LED set comes with a FREE bi-metal hole saw. This is suitable for any cordless screwdriver with a standard drill chuck. The centring drill ensures precise placement of the round cut-outs. The speed should be adjusted to the respective material.

2. Laying the connection cables
After drilling the holes, lay the connection cable from the LED spotlight to the power controller. The small white 2-pin plug must be laid in the direction of the power controller, as this is plugged into the HUB. Despite the cable's robust protective sheathing, care must be taken to ensure that it is not routed over sharp edges or stretched too tightly in order to avoid damage. If the standard length of 5 metres is not sufficient, the cable can be extended by a further 5 metres on the side with the screw-on plug contact for the LED spotlight using an optionally available extension cable.

3. Connecting the LED spotlights
After laying the cables, the LED spotlights are connected by plugging the short connection cable into the extension cable – an notch prevents incorrect plugging, which would cause the LED not to light up with direct current. Then the plastic screw connection is tightened by hand. This provides effective protection against dust and splash water, which is particularly important when used outdoors. The recessed spotlights are carefully inserted into the opening using the clamping brackets. The other end of the cable is then plugged into the HUB, where a pin also prevents the polarity from being reversed. This process is repeated for all spotlights until they are all connected and inserted.

4. Switch on the power and pair
Before plugging the mains plug into the designated socket, first insert the appropriate batteries into the remote control and keep it handy. As soon as the LED power controller is supplied with power, the lighting will start operating. Now, within five seconds of switching on, briefly press the mode button in the centre of the round brightness control on the remote control. This establishes the connection between the controller and the remote control. The lighting can then be conveniently switched on and off and the brightness adjusted by radio control.
