Our HPL panels in a medium grey are produced according to the RAL-color-system and correspond to the color RAL7037 (dusty grey). The blanks of the HPL sheets are available in thicknesses of 6mm and 8mm. The decorative panels made of high-pressure laminate consist of several layers of craft paper in the core, while the surfaces are made of RAL-colored layers of decorative paper. Soaked in resins, the individual layers are pressed under high pressure to form a solid plate. Our dusty-grey HPL boards are UV- and weather-resistant on both sides. The non-porous surface of our HPL panels is protected by a double-sided protective film to protect against scratches that might occur on the hard surface before or while processing, but it can be easily removed after installation.
HPL sheets made of multi-layer high-pressure laminate, are laminate sheets in which, depending on the thickness, several layers of craft paper are impregnated in the phenolic resin. The surfaces consist of decor papers soaked in melamine resin, which are pressed under very high pressure into a solid, rigid plate. HPL panels are UV- and highly weather-resistant and are therefore mostly used as facade panels or as partitions for indoors and outdoors. In order to be able to use the panels as balcony cladding, our HPL panels in RAL7037 also meet the stringent requirements of the ETB fall protection guidelines for thicknesses of 6mm and 8mm.
With a very small increase in mass of up to 4%, our HPL sheets are considered to be waterproof and can therefore be used permanently for outdoor use, even in the most adverse weather conditions and rapid temperature changes. The temperature range is from -30°C to +80°C, so that even very low temperatures do not limit the usability of the laminates.
Another advantage of our HPL dusty-colored decorative panels is their low flammability. While HPL boards are usually classified as normally flammable, our HPL boards conform to DIN 4102 B1 (old version valid until further notice) and the European standard DIN EN 13501-1 Bfl - s1 and are therefore considered as flame retardant.
- Flame retardant according to DIN 4102 B1
- Flame retardant according to DIN EN 13501-1 Bfl - s1
- Balcony approval in accordance with ETB guideline "Components that protect against falling"
- Our HPL panels meet the Greenguard Indoor Air Quality Certification
- FSC-certified (ecologically sustainable and socially responsible forestry)
Panels made of high-pressure laminate are generally considered to be environmentally friendly because they are free of heavy metals, organic halogens (fluorine, bromine, chlorine, etc.) and asbestos. Our HPL dusty-grey blanks also meet the Greenguard Indoor Air Quality Certification standards, which state that this material strictly adheres to the strict tolerances of chemical emissions, allowing for use in offices and interiors without restriction. In addition, HPL plates are classified as physiologically harmless.
CAUTION: Do not use abrasives, scouring pads or polishes to clean the HPL sheets. This could be disadvantageous to the appearance of the grey surfaces and, in the worst case, can scratch or damage them.
Save yourself the effort and order your HPL plates in dusty grey simply in your desired size.
Sawing HPL sheets is already a challenge, because due to the high hardness of the solid sheets, special saw blades are recommended. In addition, the surface can quickly have slight breakouts, if the saw blade is not fine enough toothed or the speed is not properly matched to the material.
With our cutting service, you have the opportunity to order your HPL sheets in the exact cut and benefit not only from our many years of experience, also from our ultramodern panel saws for horizontal cutting with a very low tolerance of just +/- 1mm. In order to achieve a perfect cutting edge, where the surface has no breakouts, the plates are pre-scored in a special process with an extra-hardened saw blade to cut through the plate in the subsequent sawing process.
Based on our maximum format for standard shipping by carrier, only blanks up to a length of 1800mm x 1000mm can be entered via our blank configurator. Standard plates with the dimensions 3050mm x 1300, or 3760mm x 1840mm, as well as blanks in larger formats up to a length of 3670mm x 1840mm width are still possible on request. It should be noted, that in some cases higher shipping costs must be expected. Also, the delivery time of large formats may increase, as we only stock the smaller standard format for blanks in our main warehouse.
Blanks of our laminates usually have a rectangular format. If you require HPL sheets in other shapes and contours or with bevels and holes, we are happy to assist you with our milling service. In this case, please send us your request by E-Mail. We only need a design drawing and information regarding the desired strength and delivery quantity to send you your personal offer including shipping costs as soon as possible.
- Our HPL sheets in dusty grey are flame retardant and therefore allowed in public buildings
- Thanks to the balcony approval (with ETB-fall-protection), the HPL panels can also be used as balcony cladding
- As high-weather-resistant panels, the HPL panels can be used outdoors safely
- Thanks to strict compliance with emission standards, HPL panels are easily used as partitions in offices
- and many more
High-pressure-laminate such as our double-sided dusty-grey HPL sheets can be easily processed. Sawing, milling, drilling or grinding are common techniques for adapting the panels to the required size or mounting requirements. Please note, that the HPL sheets are very hard and rigid, so cutting them with a saw or a router requires special saw blades and cutters to minimize tool wear.
For drilling-holes, the drills should also be carbide or HSS drills. With special facade plate drills with centering tip for HPL plates, breakouts are not to be expected, so that you can drill holes without an underlay or freehand. If you do not have any facade plate drills, we recommend that you lay the plates on a firm, flat surface to minimize surface breakouts when you break through the drill.
The painting is unnecessary because of the high-weather resistant surface of our HPL sheets, but basically still possible. In addition, a corresponding surface pretreatment with special primern or varnishes is required.
NOTE:Our flame retardant HPL panels with balcony approval in RAL 7037 (dusty grey) are delivered with protective film on both sides. Please make sure to remove the protective foil after the processing.
