Our larger square standard white PTFE plates with a size of 1200mm x 1200mm are available in thicknesses of 5mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm and 15mm. The for PTFE typical natural white color extends through the entire thickness of the solid sheets, so that the same white color can be seen even when processing by cutting or milling at the cutting and milling edges. The smooth surfaces of our handy standard plates are evenly smooth and delivered without protective film, so care should be taken during further processing to avoid scratches on the surface.>
Polytetrafluoroethylene, for short PTFE, is white in its natural form and is one of the heavyweights among plastics with a specific density of approx. 2,3 grams per cubic centimeter. By contrast, most plastics range from around 0,95 grams (PE-HD) to 1,4 grams at the same volume. As a high-performance plastic, our white PTFE is superior to most plastics. This applies particularly to the temperature range or chemical resistance, therefore, PTFE is used in a wide variety of industries for applications with the highest demands on the plastic.
While most thermoplastics always have to compromise on their properties, our white PTFE standard plates combine the most important properties and are therefore suitable for almost all applications that do not relate to gluing or thermoforming. For example, PVC is flame retardant and also available as a UV-stabilized grade, but does not have a food grade approval. Although polyethylene is food safe and also has comparatively good resistance to chemicals, it can not reach into this range of PTFE and is also normally flammable. Even with the temperature resistance, which ranges from legendary -200°C to + 260°C for PTFE, hardly any other plastic can compete.

Our white PTFE standard plates with 1,2 x 1,2 meters, like all our PTFE plates, are physiologically harmless and food safe. This means that use of the panels in industries that process food or treat drinking water is permitted. For this reason, the white PTFE is used, for example, in conveyor technology in direct contact with food, but also in smaller food processing companies, such as butchers, restaurants or bakeries.

Our white PFTE standard plates with the square dimensions of 1200mm x 1200mm are available in thicknesses of 5mm, 8mm, 10mm 12mm and 15mm. In our online shop, we also offer smaller standard plates made of white PTFE with 600mm length and 600mm width in thicknesses from 5mm to 60mm. In addition, we offer standard plates with a format of 2000mm x 1000mm in different thicknesses directly from our large warehouse.

The standard plates of our white PTFE are rarely used without further processing in a format of 1200mm x 1200mm, so that it requires further processing for the respective purpose. For this, a variety of processing techniques are available, such as sawing, milling, punching or grinding. Even simple tools for woodworking are sufficient. The drilling, threading or screwing of PTFE is readily possible.
PTFE can not be glued, pasted or painted. The reason for this lies in the very high chemi-cal resistance, so that even strong solvents roll off the PTFE plate. Due to the very high heat resistance, which merges almost seamlessly with the crystalline melting range, polytetrafluo-roethylene has no softening temperature, which would be required for welding with a welding wire. This means that PTFE, unlike thermoplastics, for example ABS, polyethylene or poly-propylene, can be welded together to PTFE together.
NOTE: PTFE is anti-adhesive and therefore can not be glued.
