Facade screw for Trespa® Meteon® Pure White (A05.0.0)

Also individual screws ✓ Silk-gloss lacquer finish ✓ Stainless A4 steel ✓

Our facade screws in size 5.5x35mm in pure white with a head diameter of 12mm are made of A4 stainless steel, which is extremely corrosion-resistant. This makes the screws ideal for outdoor use. The scratch-resistant paint finish on the screw head is also UV and weather resistant, ensuring maximum colour fastness. The colour and gloss level of the screw head are specially matched to the silky-gloss surface of the Trespa® Meteon® facade panels in Pure White (A05.0.0) with satin finish.

We dispense with cumbersome packaging units - buy screws in your desired quantity!

According to the general type approval, Trespa® Meteon® FR panels made of high-pressure laminate are approved for the erection of vertical facade cladding on wooden substructures, provided that the screws used are manufactured according to DIN EN 14592. These requirements are fully met by our HPL screws.

NOTE: A screwdriver or bit in the size ISR20 (Torx TX20) is required to process the screws, which can be purchased separately in our online shop.

Properties of our HPL screws in pure white

In order to ensure that the panels achieve sufficient fastening by the screws, flat screw heads with a diameter of 12mm are prescribed. This head diameter also ensures that the 8mm holes for sliding point fixings are always completely covered. The screw head of our facade screws is also painted white and equipped with a modern hexagon socket drive in size ISR20, which is often also referred to as Torx. This prevents the screw from slipping or spinning and allows the screws to be used easily with considerably less effort.

Our white facade screws have a partial thread, which is divided into a thread-free area of 10mm and a thread length of 25mm length with a diameter of 5.5mm. This means that panels up to a thickness of 8mm can be mounted. In order to make the mounting as invisible as possible, the colour as well as the gloss level of the scratch-resistant lacquer is exactly matched to the Trespa® Meteon® UNI COLOURS panels with satin surface in Pure White with the colour code A05.0.0. This is a UV- and weather-resistant head lacquer, which means that the screws can be used outdoors without hesitation and without fear of yellowing of the satin-finish lacquer. In addition, the screws are made of a high-quality A4 stainless steel alloy, which has outstanding resistance to corrosion and acid, which is another decisive aspect for the use as facade screws for ventilated facade systems in outdoor areas.

Installation of HPL panels with our facade screws

A prerequisite for facade cladding with Trespa® Meteon® panels, in combination with the facade screws in Pure White, is a substructure of at least 30mm thick wooden support battens, which act as a substructure. Furthermore, the general type approval of the facade panels contains the regulations on the type and quality of the wood, which also includes detailed information on professional installation. It is important to note the constraint-free installation with fixed and sliding points, which prevents the panels from bulging or bowing due to the temperature-related expansion of the panels. For this reason, a hole diameter of 8mm is prescribed for the respective sliding points. The drilling of the panel for the fixed point should be done with a 6mm drill or using a fixed point sleeve. The substructure is not pre-drilled when using facade screws. Instead, the screws are screwed directly through the panel hole into the wooden support battens. Furthermore, the HPL screws must not be tightened too much. It is sufficient if the screw head lies flush on the panel.

For facade cladding with Trespa® Meteon® panels, the maximum spacing of the individual screw connections is prescribed by the general type approval. The distance for 8mm thick panels may be a maximum of 700mm, and must be reduced to a maximum distance of 600mm for 6mm thick panels. If the panel is subjected to loads such as wind or other tensile loads from external influences, the spacing must be reduced again. For panel fixings to the ceiling, smaller distances between the individual fixing points also apply. The distance between the screw connections and the edge of the panel depends on the panel used. A maximum edge distance is specified that corresponds to 10 times the panel thickness. If an 8 mm facade panel is installed, the screws must not be placed further than 80 mm from the edge of the panel. The minimum distance to the edge is identical for both panel thicknesses at 20 mm.

The surface of our HPL facade panels Trespa® Meteon® in Pure White appears inconspicuous, neutral and yet appealing. For this reason, the panels are often used in interior design as interior wall cladding, not infrequently accentuated with coloured or grey panels. White HPL panels are also used in sanitary areas as room dividers or privacy screens between urinals, because white panels are most likely to convey the impression of cleanliness and hygiene. In the construction of caravans, caravans and chalets, the rigid panels, even in low thickness, represent a perfect combination of stability, high-quality appearance and reasonable weight, which is why white panels are also extremely popular in such areas of application.

The facade screws are not a Trespa® brand product and are only matched to the panel decor. Trespa® is a registered trademark of Trespa International.
