Our cladding screws in the size Ø 5.5 x 35mm with a head diameter of Ø 12mm are made of high-quality A4 steel. The round, flat screw head with Torx drive is provided with a scratch-resistant lacquer finish in which the colour and gloss level are precisely matched to the surface decor of the Trespa® Meteon® UNI COLOURS facade panels in Winter Grey (A21.1.0) with satin finish. For unrestricted outdoor use, the top coat is UV and weather resistant. In addition, the A4 steel alloy also features outstanding corrosion and acid resistance, making the HPL screws the best choice for fastening facade panels as exterior cladding.

The A4 steel facade screws are manufactured in accordance with DIN EN 14592, which means that the screws are approved as fasteners for ventilated facade systems outdoors in accordance with the general type approval for Trespa® Meteon® panels.
NOTE: Our facade screws have a modern hexagon socket drive in the size ISR20 (Torx TX20), for which a corresponding bit is required. This can be ordered at a favourable price if required.
Facade screws for HPL panels are mainly used to fasten facade panels outdoors as vertical facade cladding. In order for the panels and the screws to be used for such purposes, some requirements must be met, which are defined in a general type approval. In the case of the screws, this refers above all to the design and composition of the screw shape and size. Our screws are manufactured according to the requirements of DIN EN 14592. We deliberately use a high-quality A4 steel alloy instead of a cheaper A2 steel alloy in order to guarantee maximum corrosion and acid resistance. The shape of the round, flat screw head is also specified in the approval for facade screws and must be 12mm in diameter. The total length of the screw is 37mm. Of this, 2mm is allotted to the screw head and 10mm to the threadless shaft and is therefore suitable for facade panels up to a thickness of 8mm. The remaining 25mm is accounted for by the coarse thread with a diameter of 5.5mm, which always ensures a maximum hold in the wooden substructure.
The lacquer finish of the round, flat screw head is exactly matched in colour to the surfaces in Winter Grey with the manufacturer's colour code A21.1.0 of the Trespa® Meteon® UNI COLOURS panels. The gloss level of the lacquer finish also corresponds to the satin-finish surface of the panels. This is a scratch-resistant lacquer finish with very good UV and weather resistance, which does not fade or yellow due to sunlight or other weather influences.
Our facade screws are manufactured according to DIN EN 14592 and are therefore approved for the construction of ventilated facade systems with Trespa® Meteon® panels. The scratch-resistant paint finish in Winter Grey exactly matches the colour and gloss level of the Trespa® Meteon® UNI COLOURS panels in Winter Grey. The general type approval for the panels specifies exactly how the substructure is to be erected and how the panels are to be fixed to it. The screws are suitable for load-bearing constructions made of wooden battens with a thickness of at least 30mm. The substructure is not pre-drilled to ensure an optimal hold of the screw thread. The panels, on the other hand, are drilled through with an HPL drill in sizes 6mm and 8mm. A distinction is made here between the fixings for the fixed point of a panel, which must be drilled with 6mm. The other holes are used for the thermal expansion of the HPL panels and are drilled with 8mm as so-called sliding points. The 12mm screw head is sufficient in diameter to always completely cover the larger drill holes. To fix the facade panel to the substructure, the screws are placed straight and centrally in the hole and screwed in until the flat screw head rests on the panel. It is important that the screws are not screwed in too tightly so that the panel can slide between the screw head and the substructure at the sliding points. This type of installation is also called constraint-free, which prevents the panels from bowing between the fastening points.
We sell the screws in any number of pieces, according to your needs, because depending on the size and type of assembly, different numbers of screws are required for each project. When erecting vertical facade systems, for example, a maximum distance of 700mm applies between two fastening points within a panel, provided these are erected with 8mm thick HPL panels. For panels with a lower thickness of 6mm, the distance between two fixings must be reduced to a maximum of 600mm. Tensile loads caused by wind or mounting objects attached to the facade cladding also influence the maximum permissible distance between fastening points. Furthermore, when screwing HPL panels with our facade screws, the edge distance is of great importance. While the minimum distance to the edge of the panel must be at least 20 mm, regardless of the panel thickness, the maximum edge distance must not be more than ten times the panel thickness. When installing 8 mm thick panels, this means that the screw must not be positioned more than 80 mm from the outer edge of the panel.
The Trespa® Meteon® FR tiles in Winter Grey, which match the colour of the facade screws, are very popular for facade cladding due to their neutral, light grey tone, but also inside buildings, for example as light room dividers or wall cladding. In addition, the tiles are an ideal replacement for tile backsplashes in kitchens, bathrooms and guest toilets and are very easy to clean of grease, limescale and soap residues due to their closed-pored surface.
The facade screws of our own brand S-Polytec are not from Trespa®, but are permitted for facade cladding with Trespa®, Meteon® panels. Trespa® is a registered trademark of Trespa International.
