Ø 102 mm bi-metal hole saw – perfect for drain pipes and ventilation pipes

High-quality HSS bimetal ✓ Progressive alternating teeth ✓ Replaceable centre drill ✓

Our 102 mm hole saw for professional use has a maximum cutting depth of 32mm. The bi-metal – consisting of cobalt-alloyed M42 steel and high-quality HSS steel – combined with the alternating teeth guarantees maximum sharpness and precise cutting performance with a very long service life. The hole saw can be dismantled into four individual components, making it particularly space-saving to store. The main component is the red drill bit. It also includes an adapter with the typical UNF 5/8 inch thread, which is screwed into the internal thread of the bit, a profile-ground HSS drill bit with a diameter of 6mm and, last but not least, the ejector spring made of robust steel, which facilitates the ejection of the cut-out. The robust triangular shank of the adapter is compatible with all standard cordless screwdrivers and drills with a chuck.

Best quality at unbeatable prices – for professionals and doers

The coarse interlocking teeth enable precise cuts in all suitable materials. These include wood-based materials, soft to medium-hard solid wood, plastics, but also light metals such as aluminium or brass. The large hole saw is also ideal for insulation boards, aerated concrete and plasterboard. With a diameter of 102mm, the hole saw is ideal for drilling holes for laying HT drain pipes, pipes for supply and exhaust ventilation in air heat exchangers or downpipes for roof drainage.

Features of the 102mm bi-metal hole saw

A hole saw is only as good as its workmanship and material selection. Like all our hole saws, our 102mm model is characterised by high-quality manufacturing, extremely durable steel alloys and a precise cutting pattern. The bi-metal made of HSS steel and cobalt-alloyed M42 steel impresses with its very long service life, even with intensive commercial use. Quality at the highest level. The Vario alternating tooth pattern with a tooth spacing of approximately 7mm has saw teeth that are alternately inclined inwards and outwards. This makes sawing very easy despite the large diameter. The crown is also virtually impossible to tilt, as drilling dust, metal or plastic chips are quickly transported out of the crown interior via the 4 long holes. This also reduces the amount of force required and allows the use of handy cordless screwdrivers with lower power.

A practical adapter is included in the set so that the hole saw can be used with all standard drills and cordless screwdrivers. This can be easily screwed into the standard thread of the drill bit and fits into any standard drill chuck. The robust 9mm diameter triangular shank ensures a secure hold and prevents slipping in the drill chuck when working with hard materials or drilling deeper holes. Cutting depths of up to 32mm are possible in a single operation. The 6mm centring drill bit can be quickly replaced using an easily accessible grub screw, for example, in case of wear or if a drill bit suitable for the material is required. This allows the ideal drill bit to be used flexibly depending on the application. A solid carbide drill bit is recommended for particularly hard materials such as HPL, while a special wood drill bit with a fine centring tip is the best choice for wood. All drill bits with a round shank and 6mm diameter are suitable. However, if you are working with tools with an SDS-Plus shank, you can also use a suitable adapter with a matching SDS-Plus shank. Thanks to the universal 5/8"-18 UNF thread, which is widely used in hole saws and diamond core bits, replacement is quick and easy.

Advantages of our hole saw with a diameter of 102mm

  • Thanks to bimetal made of HSS and cobalt-alloyed M42 steel, also suitable for cut-outs in light metal
  • Perfect for interior construction in drywall construction with wood, OSB, MDF or plasterboard panels
  • The diameter of 102mm is suitable for feed-throughs for HT pipes and ventilation systems
  • The hole saw works reliably and effortlessly until the maximum cutting depth is reached
  • The coarse Vario alternating tooth design ensures fast cuts with very high precision
  • Long holes on the sides serve both to cool and quickly remove drill dust
  • No jamming or spinning of the drill chuck thanks to the adapter's solid triangular shank
  • The HSS drill bit can be replaced with a 6mm wood drill bit or VHM facade panel drill bit

Application and handling of the 102mm hole saw

The S-Polytec hole saw with a diameter of 102mm and a cutting depth of 32mm is the largest in our range and ideal for all plumbing, heating and kitchen installation companies. Thanks to its high-quality workmanship and choice of materials, the hole saw is perfect for use by commercial users or DIY enthusiasts with the highest quality standards. The bi-metal crown is suitable for countless materials, such as wood, plastic, HPL facade panels or aluminium composite material, as well as light metal.

Always perfectly centred – guaranteed
The hole in the back wall or cabinet for the extractor hood in the kitchen – the exhaust ventilation in the guest WC or the ventilation openings for supply and exhaust air in recirculation heating systems. With the large 102mm hole saw, circular cut-outs can be made in no time at all. A sharp centring drill bit ensures that the hole is drilled or sawn precisely and without slipping. This is a profile-ground HSS-G drill bit with a diameter of 6mm and a 118° tip angle, which is securely fixed in the adapter holder with a small grub screw. But it is not just the drill bit that is extremely sharp – the crown itself is also very sharp and, thanks to the saw teeth that are always alternately directed inwards or outwards, the large hole saw cuts effortlessly through all suitable materials without tilting.

EXPERT TIP: Simply replace the HSS drill bit with a wood drill bit for OSB and MDF boards.

Durable, efficient – professional
As a professional tool that is also suitable for heavy-duty commercial use, we focus on quality, safety and precision. The thick triangular shank guarantees a secure hold in the drill chuck and also serves as a holder for the centring drill, which is long enough to be easily positioned without the large crown obstructing the view. The HSS-G drill bit is already an excellent choice for most materials, but can also be easily replaced with a wood drill bit for drilling MDF, OSB or solid wood, or a solid carbide drill bit for HPL façade panels , as long as the drill shaft is round and 6mm in diameter.

No hassle with the drill core
When drilling multiple holes in quick succession, there is nothing more annoying than the drill bit becoming stuck in the crown and being difficult to remove. A strong steel spring on the centring drill bit helps to prevent this, but can be removed very easily. The four long holes are not only used for cooling and chip removal, but also make it easier to remove the drill bit. Using a small screwdriver as a lever, the cut-out can be easily pressed out through the side openings.
