With the GUDFOR Heavy Duty cartridge gun, we offer a professional silicone gun that meets the highest demands. The compact design of the skeleton gun made of powder-coated metal is characterised by a comparatively low dead weight. The stepless mechanism always ensures very precise application of the silicone, even when sealing fine joints and gaps. With an enormous transmission ratio of 1:26, even less viscous sealants, for example our MS polymer Parabond 600, can be pressed out of the cartridge with very little effort.
The solid slide made of high-quality steel, as well as the robust cage of the cartridge holder, guarantee a perfect fit of the cartridge. The professional gun is suitable for all conventional standard cartridges up to 310ml for processing silicones, acrylics or MS polymers. The cartridge press is equipped with a drip-stop mechanism that prevents the sealant from running on.
The GUDFOR cartridge press Heavy Duty has a compact metal housing in skeleton construction. The ergonomic handle as well as the housing are provided with an insensitive powder coating in matt black. The body of the cartridge holder, which is made of 2 mm thick steel, is also powder-coated, but it shines in a silky white. The robust steel mechanism guarantees a service life that is sure to last a craftsman's lifetime.
In addition to the sturdy construction, it is above all the stepless feed with a fabulous transmission ratio of 1:26 that distinguishes this silicone gun. This enables precise, even application of all adhesives and sealants in standard cartridges without physical exertion. This is a decisive advantage, especially when working continuously with less viscous sealants such as painter's acrylic or an MS polymer. The drip-stop function prevents the sealant from running on, especially if the cartridge tip has only been cut very slightly. This ensures clean working and processing of silicones, acrylics or adhesives in standard cartridges. The sturdy slider ends at the back in a large ladder hook. This has two functions. On the one hand, it is easier to pull out the slide on the hook to change the cartridge and, on the other hand, it is possible to hang the cartridge press on a ladder rung when changing the cartridge or smoothing it out, so that you do not have to go down the ladder and put the gun down to free your hands.
As a professional cartridge press aimed at craftsmen and demanding do-it-yourselfers, it can be disassembled in just a few steps if necessary, for example to clean the housing and the mechanics.
Basically, all cartridge presses with manual operation work in the same way. Pull the slide all the way back by holding down the lock on the back and pulling the slide backwards on the ladder hook. Now the silicone cartridge can be inserted. With the GUDFOR Heavy Duty, start with the end of the cartridge by pushing it over the pusher plate of the slide. The cartridge tip is then inserted through the opening at the front until the cartridge is fully inserted into the cartridge holder. In the last step before sealing and gluing, the lock at the back is released again and the pusher is pushed forward until the pusher plate meets resistance.
To remove or change the cartridge, the procedure is very similar. First press the latch and pull the slider on the ladder hook out to the end. The cartridge can then be removed. The cartridge must first be guided out of the opening at the front and then lifted off the slider at the back. The advantage of the GUDFOR Heavy Duty is that this can be done with the cartridge tip screwed on without any problems. With most simple pistols, the tip has to be fed through a round opening.
To apply the adhesive and sealant, simply pull the ergonomic handle. Even with a very small opening, or tough sealants with low viscosity, the handle can be pulled effortlessly. The smooth-running mechanism is stepless and thus allows a very even and easily controllable application. Once this process is complete, or if the sealant application is to be paused for a change of position, the drip-stop mechanism can be conveniently actuated with the thumb thanks to the very generously dimensioned release button, thereby releasing it so that the pusher plate no longer exerts pressure on the cartridge.
TIP: In order not to impair the service life by adhesions of silicones or adhesives, it can be quite useful to clean the cartridge press with a damp cloth after use. This works very well as long as the cross-linking of the sealant has not yet started and takes only a little time.
