Employee(m/f/d) Packaging - Full-time

For our production site in Goch, we need support in packing orders to meet the constantly growing demand. We are therefore looking for an employee (m/f/d) for the warehouse/logistics/commissioning area to expand another packaging station with another motivated worker. This is a permanent full-time position with 40 working hours per week.

Who are we?

We - S-Polytec GmbH - are a young, modern company, founded in March 2011, which is enjoying strong growth and specialises in distributing cut-to-size plastic sheets throughout Europe via our sales staff and our online shops.

What most people simply refer to as plastics are, for us, a wide variety of plastics with a wide variety of properties and areas of application. From plastics for optical purposes to technical plastics and high-performance plastics for special industries, we stock countless types of plastic in many more different thicknesses in our warehouse in Goch so that we can cut them to order for our customers promptly and to the millimetre.

Furthermore, in addition to the simple cutting on our large CNC-controlled panel saws for horizontal cutting, we also offer other processing techniques for our plastic panels according to special customer requirements, so that we also process our plastics with our CNC milling machines, or our CO2 laser cutting machines, in order to meet the high demands of our customers.

In addition, we have recently expanded our core activities to include the development and distribution of adhesives and sealants, the production of which, however, will be relocated to another site not far from the plastic sheet processing plant in the coming weeks. Our aim is to meet every customer requirement 100%, as far as it is technically feasible for us. Different processing techniques and modern machines are important factors for us, which enable us to react flexibly and quickly to our customers.

However, the most important factor in meeting our high quality standards is our highly motivated and friendly staff, without whom it would not be possible for us to make our customers happy. Starting with our production staff, through the sales staff, to marketing and accounting, all our employees work hand in hand in a modern environment. Friendly, respectful interaction with each other is the basis for a good working atmosphere and a workplace that is not just work, but fun. Because growth is only possible with motivated employees who work together as a team.

What we expect from you?

As our boss always likes to say - we don't build rockets.

Basically, we only expect from you what every employer wants from an employee. Namely, a motivated and reliable team member who can be relied on at all times. Because some packages and plates can be a bit heavy, it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a certain level of physical fitness. That doesn't mean you have to go to the gym three times a week or run a marathon twice a week, but you should be able to lift the blanks and panels.

We do not expect a university degree. Basically, you don't even need to have completed vocational training, but a little picking experience would be helpful.

Even though you will primarily be working at your own workplace, you must treat your colleagues and superiors with respect and care. You can expect the same from all your colleagues. We work as a team, which means that everyone is there for each other when help is needed. Therefore, the ability to work in a team is a very important quality that you should definitely have.

What are your tasks?

As an employee in the warehouse management area, you will work at your own packing station after an intensive training phase, where you will check all orders that are ready for dispatch for completeness and correctness. Afterwards, the order is securely packed and transmitted to our shipping service providers for collection via easy-to-use software. Both the packing machine (a strapping machine) and the software for reporting completion, do not require any extraordinary knowledge and handling them is learned in no time. Much more important is checking the order, which you can see on the basis of the order, because after all, the customer not only wants the right plastic sheet blanks, but also the right quantity, so that completeness and correctness are not only of enormous importance for the customer.

In addition to packing parcels and rolls, it will also be your task to prepare larger orders on pallets for transport with a forwarding company. Here it would be useful if you have a forklift licence (driving licence for industrial trucks) and ideally also some experience with handling forklifts.

Structured, independent work is just as important as order in the workplace.
