Our Paracryl Parquet in grey beige is perfectly colour-coordinated with artificially weathered, greyed wood materials, which are absolutely trendy, especially for floor coverings. From parquet to laminate, almost every type of wood and grain is available in neutral grey tones that are compatible with any interior style. Wood acrylics in beech, oak or beige would be rather disturbing in terms of colour intensity, so the colour grey beige ensures an inconspicuous tone-in-tone sealant for wooden floors. The sealant, which is suitable for countless interior applications, adheres to all porous substrates that are common in the construction sector. These include, among others, plaster, plaster, concrete, sand-lime brick or tiles. The parquet acrylic also has excellent adhesion to metal surfaces, for example, aluminium, steel, stainless steel or iron, so that the sealant can be used very well for connection joints from wood to these materials.
From as little as 5 cartridges of the parquet acrylic in grey beige, you benefit from our more favourable graduated prices.
Paracryl Parquet is an elastic sealant that is supplied ready for use in a standard 310ml cartridge and can be applied using a standard cartridge press. Parquet Acrylic, like most acrylic sealants, is not UV-resistant and is also not waterproof, so it can only be used for interior applications. However, Parquet Acrylic in grey-beige is perfectly suitable for grouting and sealing wooden floors, such as floorboards, parquet, wooden plasters and skirting boards, as well as laminate or cork floors, as well as for repairing and filling splinters, cracks, irregularities, knotholes and other defects in the wood and, as an extremely high-quality acrylic for wooden materials, is very easy to apply.
After curing, parquet acrylic is significantly stronger than conventional painter's acrylic. This is an important property, because especially as a filler in wood, the higher strength results in better sandability and thus contributes to a significantly better surface quality of the wood. In terms of elasticity, parquet acrylic is in no way inferior to simple acrylic. Expansion of the wood due to heat or deformation of the joint due to mechanical loads are therefore no problem for acrylic sealants.
Acrylic sealants have more than sufficient elasticity for most typical applications. However, the maximum permissible deformation of 12.5% only applies after the final strength has been reached. Before complete curing, the joints should not be stressed by movement. However, a deformation of up to 5% is still acceptable here without affecting the flank adhesion and durability of the joint. For expansion joints that are subject to higher loads, it is better to use a silicone in a matching shade of grey instead of the parquet aryl in grey beige, for example our Alkoxy silicone in light grey be used.
The parquet acrylic Paracryl Parquet in grey beige does not emit any harmful substances. Neither in the pasty state nor during or after curing, so that the sealant for wood materials can be used without further ado for applications in living rooms and bedrooms. This is certified by the A+ rating of the VOC emission class.
NOTE: The parquet acrylic in grey-beige can still be used after the cartridge has been opened until the expiry date, as long as the cartridge is always sealed airtight and stored between +5 and +25°C.
Paracryl Parquet Grey Beige is a ready-to-use sealant that can be applied directly. All that is needed is a silicone gun for standard cartridges and some water for smoothing, because unlike silicone, acrylic is water-soluble, so no special smoothing agent is required. Smoothing of wall and connection joints can be done with the finger, or with a joint scraper, which is also used for sealing with silicone. Repairing cracks and larger areas is best done by using a spatula to level the surface after application.
The parquet acrylic in grey beige is not matched to a specific wood colour and can be used for pretty much all types of wood that have turned grey due to weathering or artificial weathering. The structure and grain of the respective woods do not play a significant role in this case. The areas of application are also not limited to floor coverings such as parquet or laminate. Acrylic sealant can also be used for furniture, veneer, doors and frames, as well as for stairs, wall panelling or ceiling panels. For example, to conceal damage and unevenness in surfaces.
To remove hardened joints, we recommend a sharp knife or a joint scraper. However, acrylic is less difficult to remove while the sealant is still soft and paste-like, because acrylic is water-soluble and can be easily removed from surfaces, tools or clothing with a little water.
NOTE: In some cases, it is better to use a silicone, even though silicones cannot be painted over. Especially for waterproofing in bathrooms and toilets, or if the joints are in regular contact with water, an acrylic sealant is not recommended, because acrylic is not water-resistant. As a glazing kit for windows, as well as for floor coverings made of PVC, linoleum or vinyl, parquet acrylic cannot be used either.
