Polypropylene (PP-H) in natural as standard sheet in 2.0x1.0 metres

Our plastic sheets made of polypropylene in the colour natural have a format of 2.0 x 1.0 metres as a standard sheet and are available in thicknesses from 1mm to 40mm. The PP sheets are completely dyed in their natural, whitish colour, so that both sawn and cut edges as well as the surfaces have the same natural colour of the polypropylene plastic. Our polypropylene sheets are exclusively solid core material, which means that our PP sheets are made of solid material and not of hollow core sheets or foamed polypropylene. In addition, our polypropylene sheets comply with the REACH and RoHS regulations.

Our polypropylene sheets (PP-H) are an engineering plastic (polypropylene homopolymer) and are only suitable for optical purposes to a limited extent.

Properties of our polypropylene sheets in nature

Polypropylene is an extremely versatile plastic that is very often used in food production, large kitchens or butcher shops due to its approval in the food and drinking water sector. PP is odourless, skin-friendly and considered physiologically harmless. Thanks to its excellent resistance to chemicals, as well as to acids and alkalis, plastic sheets made of polypropylene are also used in the chemical industry, for example for chemical containers, or in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.

With a high temperature resistance of up to +110°C (for short periods even up to +140°C), as well as a very good surface hardness and impact strength, polypropylene sheets are also very popular in civil engineering, or in the production of precast concrete parts as concrete moulds. Like most plastics, polypropylene is electrically insulating and has a very long service life.

Processing of our polypropylene sheets in nature

Our polypropylene sheets in natural colour are very easy to process. As an engineering plastic with a very wide range of applications, PP can be cut to size excellently using all common cutting methods, such as sawing, milling or lasering. Even water jet cutting is possible for PP sheets. Plastic sheets made of polypropylene can also be drilled, punched or machined on a lathe without any problems.

As a thermoplastic, our solid polypropylene sheets have excellent properties with regard to thermoforming or deep-drawing, as is very often carried out in industrial processing, for example in the production of moulded parts made of polypropylene.

Plastic sheets made of polypropylene cannot be painted or printed. Gluing polypropylene with a film is also not possible, nor is bonding with conventional plastic adhesives (we carry a special 2-component-based adhesive for PP in our online shop), which is why welding polypropylene sheets is the most common practice. NOTE: Polypropylene cannot be glued with conventional adhesives. In our online shop we therefore offer you the special 2-component adhesive S-Polybond PPprofi, which was specially developed for bonding PE (PP-H and PP-C).
