Our black welding rod for polyethylene with a diameter of 4mm is perfectly suitable for our PE sheets with high sheet thickness. PE cannot be glued easily, which is why welding polyethylene is common practice. Our 4mm welding rod for PE is recommended from a sheet thickness of 4mm and can, with several welds on top of each other, also be used without problems for welding PE sheets with high thicknesses (for example 15mm or 25mm). For smaller sheet thicknesses, we recommend our black PE welding rod in 3mm thickness.
Black welding rod for PE from just one metre - at favourable graduated prices
You tell us how many metres of our black PE welding rod in 4mm you need and we will deliver the ordered quantity in one piece, because with us you do not have to purchase complete rolls and can order PE welding rod from one metre length. Simply enter the number of metres you need in the input field and benefit from our favourable graduated prices.
Please note that when welding thicker sheets, you may have to carry out several welding seams on top of each other in order to achieve a seamless connection of the PE sheets. We also recommend that you plan a small buffer of approx. half a metre so that you still have enough material for welding, especially when a weld seam runs out.
- Our PE welding rod black in 4mm thickness can only be used for welding PE with PE
- For welding PE plastics, a hot air welder is recommended
- When welding polyethylene, the air temperature of +220°C to +280°C should be maintained
- Our black PE welding rod in a thickness of 4mm, is also suitable for thicker sheets
To weld polyethylene, a processing temperature between +220°C and +280°C should be achieved. Both lower and higher temperatures can have a negative effect on the quality of the weld. Our black PE welding rod has a diameter of 4mm and is ideal for welding polyethylene sheets from a thickness of 4mm. But even with thicker sheets, the welding rod with 4mm is sufficient for welding, because several welding seams can be made on top of each other until a seamless transition is achieved.
Welding polyethylene requires a little practice, so we offer you in our online shop the Special adhesive S-Polybond PEprofi, if you prefer to glue your polyethylene parts instead of welding them.
