With a diameter of 10mm, the spacer of 10x15mm is the smallest version within our standard delivery programme. The spacer is made of weather-resistant, stainless steel and comes with a screwdriver head. This enables a comfortable use of the spacer on surfaces that are less easy to work with. Characteristics of our 10x15mm spacer

The rather unobtrusive wall mounts have a diamter of merely 10mm. With the wall distance included this mounts up to 15mm. Due to its small size the product is predominantly recommended for the installation of small wall signs or pictures. However, the wall distance of 15mm still allows signs with a strength of up to 8mm to be attached to the wall using this product. The relative small bearing capacity of 5kg is concerned for the spacer at hand. The capacity can be raised by the application of two, four or more fixtures. Mind the the condition of the surface onto which the installation will take place as much as the total weight of the to be attached sign. Because of the limited contact area of the spacer and the wall it could occur that the resilience of the foundation is lesser than the bearing capacity of the spacer itself. Here also, the weight can be divided more evenly by using multiple spacers and creating more fixing points on the surface.

The small spacer is the perfect tool to install little signs, especially on tricky surfaces, the reason for this being that the screwable head is screwed directly into the spacer sleeve and does not require additional fixing with an allen/grub screw. Nonetheless, for areas which are open to the public the latter might be useful, still, to install spacers with a securing screw because this way unwanted unwounding without the use of a tool will be difficult to nearly not possible. The clamping area of the small spacer amounts to maximally 8mm and refers to the collective strength of all plates including the optional dinstance- or intermediate rings.

Installation of the screwable, stainless steel spacer

Our smallest spacer with a diameter of 10mm are suitable for the easy installation of signs, pictures or plates of a maximum strength of 8mm. Due to the relatively low bearing capacity of about 5kg and the mediocre support area on the foundation-surface, the small spacers are predominantly suited for minor or lightweight signs. For larger, more heavy signs, frames or panels we advise considering our spacers with larger diameters and larger bearing capacities. These we offer to you via our standard delivery programme in the diameter/wall distance sizes 13mm, 15mm and 25mm.

TIP: The spacer has a decreased diameter of only 10mm. The thread diameter of the cover cap amounts up to ca. 7,8mm. Therefore, it is advised to proceed mindfully when drilling wholes into the plate or sign. When drilling, utilise a drill with an 8mm diameter. Larger drill holes might lead to the bore not being fully secured by the screw head from the spacer. Depending on the size of the sign and optical preferences we recommend an edge distance of minimally 10mm relatively to the centre of the drill hole.

Before the spacers are screwed onto the surface tightly it is important that the drill holes of the plate are assigned to the right positions on the wall. Beware of an exact positioning when drilling, as well as during the process of screwing on and fixing the spacers onto the wall. In case this does not happen, it might occur that the covering caps will not be able to be screwed into the spacer evenly.

NOTE: Due to the very small diameter of the spacer sleeves we adivse using screws with a maximum head diameter of 6,5mm. The thread diameter should not be larger than 4,5mm. Our recommendation is to utilise the commonly used countersunk screw in 4,5 x 40mm or 4,5 x 50mm.
